In short

What is a booster compressor?

A booster does not start from ambient air: it takes air already compressed by the network, at 8 or 10 bar, and raises it to 30 or 40 bar, oil-free. Only the share that needs high pressure is produced at high pressure, instead of compressing everything to 40 bar.

Against the neighbouring ranges

The booster does not start from ambient air: it takes the network air, at 8 or 10 bar, and raises it to 30 or 40 bar, oil-free. From 7.5 to 160 kW, it serves blow moulding and any use that needs clean high pressure on a site already equipped.

Without an existing network, the oil-free piston of the neighbouring family starts from ambient air up to 60 bar; for 300 bar and more, the high-pressure piston is needed.

A booster does not create compressed air: it takes air that is already compressed at low pressure (8 to 10 bar) and brings it to high pressure, 30 or 40 bar. Compression takes place with no oil at all in contact with the air.

PET bottle blowing consumes a lot of high-pressure air. Rather than producing all of it at 40 bar, the existing low-pressure air (8 to 10 bar) is recovered and only the fraction needed is "boosted": the system is simpler, more reliable and markedly more energy-efficient.

100% oil-free by design (ISO 8573-1 Class 0), the booster introduces no oil into the air or gas network, and adapts, with or without a frame, to the gas to be compressed.

Typical uses

PET bottle blowing first and foremost, but also any process that needs oil-free high pressure from an existing low-pressure network: food processing, chemicals, industrial gases.

Strengths

From 8-10 bar to 30 or 40 bar

Takes the air of an 8 or 10 bar network and brings it to 30 or 40 bar, without rebuilding a whole high-pressure compression chain.

Oil-free, Class 0

No oil in the compression: Class 0 according to ISO 8573-1, nothing passes into the blowing process or into the product.

Only the high-pressure need

Only the flow that needs high pressure is compressed to it, starting from air already produced at low pressure: from 1.5 to 40 m³/min, from 7.5 to 160 kW depending on the model.

Suited to the gas

On the CZ-SLTB series, a two-stage booster available with or without a frame depending on the gas to be compressed.
