How it works ↓
What is a high-pressure piston compressor?
A multi-stage piston compressor, cooled between stages, that takes air to 300 or 500 bar: the catalogue's only route to those pressures. Its flow reads as a cylinder filling time, not as a continuous flow.

Flows, pressures, noise levels and dimensions recorded model by model on the catalogue sheets.
The multi-stage piston is the catalogue's only route to 300 and 500 bar, from 2.2 to 45 kW. It fills cylinders and feeds test benches in cycles; its flow, 0.08 to 2.2 m³/min, reads as a filling time, not as a continuous flow.
For breathing air, downstream filtration is part of the installation. Between 16 and 40 bar on an existing network, the oil-free booster is the simple route.
A piston compressor compresses air through the reciprocating movement of one or more pistons in cylinders, paced by suction and discharge valves. To reach very high pressures, compression takes place in several successive stages, with cooling between each stage.
Each stage raises the pressure one step: the air passes from one cylinder to the next, each smaller than the last, until it reaches 300 or even 500 bar. Intercooling limits the temperature and improves efficiency.
For breathing air, a dedicated filtration and purification chain ensures quality compliant with EN 12021 (air for breathing apparatus).
All high-pressure applications: breathing air for firefighters (SCBA) and commercial diving, PET bottle blowing, onboard gas, test benches, inflation, industry. The target pressure dictates the number of stages.
Up to 500 bar
Multi-stage compression to reach very high pressures, where a screw or a rotary vane tops out at 13-16 bar.
EN 12021 breathing air
Dedicated purification chain for breathing apparatus air: compliance with EN 12021 for diving and firefighting.
Inter-stage cooling
A cooler between each stage: controlled temperature, better efficiency and component longevity.
Mains, three-phase or petrol
From 2.2 to 45 kW, single-phase, three-phase or with a petrol engine for uses without electricity.
