A rotary vane designed to be carried on board, from 4 to 11 kW: truck, bus, train, machine. Compact, tolerant of vibration, it comes from the world of rail transport.
It is not a workshop machine: in a fixed installation, the base range does the same job for less.
AZX onboard compressors are compact rotary vane compressors, designed to be mounted directly on a vehicle: truck, bus, train, metro. The vane air-end turns slowly (≈ 1,450 rpm), smoothly, which makes it remarkably tolerant of the vibration and shocks of travel.
Originally developed for rail transport (brake air, air suspension, door opening, pantograph), they adapt to any vehicle application that needs a reliable source of compressed air on the move.
Where a high-speed screw or a piston technology would suffer from vibration and incessant on/off cycles, the rotary vane takes it in its stride: it is the core of the onboard compressor range.
Mounting on trucks, buses, trains, metros and industrial vehicles: brake air, air suspension, cylinders, door systems, onboard tools. Compact (from 900 × 310 mm, 100 kg), rugged, designed for the harsh conditions of road and rail.
Compact & light
From 900 × 310 × 492 mm and 100 kg: minimal footprint for mounting on the chassis or in the bodywork, where space is tight.
Vibration-tolerant
The low-speed vane air-end absorbs the vibration and shocks of travel without loss of reliability, a decisive asset on board.
Intermittent duty accepted
Accepts the frequent stops and restarts typical of onboard use.
Proven in transport
Derived from rail (train, metro), with proven reliability in harsh onboard conditions. From 4 to 11 kW.
